You can also carry this small size first aid kit during travelling. You should keep the baby first aid kit in a box with latche or zipped bag. Fruits and vegetables juice as source of antioxidant

Antioxidants are very helpful for your health because it protects body cells from breakdown of free radical. Free radicals can cause serious health issues, such as cancer, heart disease and many other

diseases etc. Antioxidants are very helpful because it can protect you from these diseases. Some of the antioxidants are lutein, selenium, vitamin C, beta-carotene, vitamin A, vitamin E etc. The sources of these antioxidants are fruits, vegetable, grains, poultry, nuts, few fishes, meats etc.

Advantages of antioxidants

There are lots of fruits and vegetable those are enriched with high level vitamins, glutathionine, carotenoids, phenols, and flavonoids etc. Stidues have shown that antioxidants acts as free radical scavengers, quench singlet, triplet oxygen, decompose peroxide and also inhibits many beneficial enzymes. Antioxidants help in decreasing the free radicals that created through metabolism. Antioxidants also help human health through decreasing oxidative stress. It also prevents human body from biochemical and physiological injuries that can hamper your body through cell death.

Fruits and vegetable are good source of antioxidants

There are various fruits and vegetables which have good level of antioxidants measured in Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORACs). Studies have shown that prunes have the highest level of beneficial antioxidants. The next ORACs measured fruits and vegetable in descending order are garlic, kale, strawberry, spinach, and raspberry. The fruits and vegetables with ORACs between that ranges from 500 to 1000 are alfalfa sprouts, broccoli flowers, Brussels sprouts, oranges, plums, beets, red bell pepper, kiwi fruits, red grapes, cherries, and pink grapefruits etc. Whereas The fruits and vegetable with little antioxidants are onions, eggplant, white grapes, cauliflowers, potatoes, yellow com, peas, cabbage, sweet potatoes, leaf lettuce, carrot, string beans, iceberg lettuce, celery and cucumber etc.

Beverages are also a good source of antioxidants

Few studies have shown that beverages like green tea and black tea have more antioxidants than some of the vegetables. On the other hand fruit juices like grapes juice, orange juice, tomato juice, apple juice etc. have high level antioxidants that can prevent human body from serious diseases.

Many people get the highest benefit of these antioxidants by eating fruits and vegetable with high level antioxidants. If you have fruits and vegetable in proper amount, it will definitely help human body. Adults should have two and half cups of fruits and two to three cups vegetable on daily basis to enrich your body with beneficial antioxidants.

Injuries during running or jogging

Injuries during running or jogging can be a big trouble for anyone, even for experienced runners. Sometimes you may not recognize the injury at the earlier stage. For example- A bike rider should have little knowledge about his vehicle, so that he could fix the breakdown at first stage. Similarly a runner or jogger also need to have some knowledge about running injuries, so that he/she can consult with their doctor at first stage itself. You are advised not to continue running or jogging if you are still in pain. Instead of this, you should fix an appointment with your doctor. You should start running if you are completely recovered. Today we will discuss some of the common running injuries in this article.

Knee injury is the most common injury which most of the runners or joggers face. It develops usually when you feel swelling under
your kneecap. In this condition, you may feel pain around and behind your knee. The severity of the knee injury can be counted from the pain you are going through. If you are feeling little pain in your knee then it can be treated at home itself. You just need an ice cube to treat minor knee injury. Get an ice cube and hold it on your painful knee for about 15-20 minutes. On the other hand, in case of major knee injuries, you should go to doctor without getting late. 




Achilles injury is another common injury caused due to running or jogging. Regular practice of running or jogging may cause Achilles pain. At earlier stage of Achilles pain you may feel pain or swelling behind your ankle or heel. For minor Achilles pain, you may have a gentle massage with an ointment. You can also use heel wedge inside your shoes to get relief from Achilles pain. 






Shin pain is also observed in regular runners or joggers. This pain generally causes in front of the leg or below the kneecap. In some cases, the runner is facing shin pain but he/she still continue running. Do not take this pain lightly, it can be very dangerous. For minor shin pain, you can apply ice cubes on it. But if you are facing severe pain then you should stay calm for few days to get relax from shin pain. 



Heel pain or muscle strain is also a hurdle for runners or joggers. Heel pain may cause by giving weight on heel for regular practice of running, whereas muscle strain may occurs suddenly. If you are not getting relief by applying ice or ointment, then this is the time to go to doctor. Do not continue running until doctor gives you green signal. 



Precaution for unnecessary injuries through running

The most important thing is to wear proper running shoes, weather you are a professional runner or just a jogger. The professional running shoes have the features for comfortable running or jogging. It prevents you from injuries while you are running or jogging. Always start your running or jogging practice with a warm up session. Do warm up at least for 5 or 10 minutes before you start running or jogging. Start with medium pace of running and then slowly increase your speed and distance.

Weight loss with Oolong Tea

Oolong tea is made from the same plant which is used to prepare green tea and black tea. The name of this plant is Camellia sinensis. The oolong tea is prepared from the buds,
leaves and stems of this plant. Now you may think that if green tea, black tea and oolong tea all are prepared from same plant then what the difference in these teas is. The difference in these teas is only the process of making. Black tea is prepared by fully fermented process, oolong tea is prepared by partially fermented process and green tea is prepared by unfermented process. Caffeine is present in oolong tea which performs by stimulating heart, muscles and CNS. Oolong tea has two more chemicals like caffeine present in it, namely theophylline and theobromine. 

Process of making Oolong tea

Oolong tea can be consumed either cold or hot but the taste will not be changed in either ways. The counts of infusions and steeping time of the leaves are based on the kind of tea leaves has been used. However oolong tea can be prepared within few minutes by following some simple steps given below. 


To start with the process, take some water in kettle and let it boil. By the time rinse and warm up the tea set. Now add few leaves of oolong tea into the teapot, so that it occupies almost 5% space in the pot. After this just pour the boiled water into the tea pot. You have to push away white colored floating bubbles with the help of its lid that are observed on the top. Now cover the tea pot with lid for some time and let it be steep. The tea is ready for drink. Pour the tea into tea cups and serve your family or guests to taste & smell its marvelous aroma.

Is oolong tea helps in weight loss?

There are many potent antioxidants present in oolong tea that help in improving our metabolism. These antioxidants can boost our metabolism by 10% up to 2 hours after the consumption of oolong tea.
